Several candidates running for school board in November have been vocal supporters of policies that will bring costly lawsuits to our school district. Our students and teachers do not deserve to have our tax dollars wasted on unwinnable lawsuits with the State of California. There are already concerns about less funding from the state in the next fiscal year, we do not need to add MORE financial stress for our district. Our money should stay local to support vital programs for our students and to retain quality teachers and staff.

I stand firmly against harmful policies that will bring costly lawsuits to our district:

  • NO to book bans and censorship

  • NO to forced outing policies
(that are now prohibited under AB 1955 as of July 2024)

Instead, our funds need to go towards necessary health and safety updates to our school facilities that will save money in the long run and improve our schools now.
