Family and community involvement is vital to our student’s success, and that means making meetings and events accessible to us all - I have been a vocal advocate for zoom options and live-streaming of events for our families and community members who struggle to attend events in the district due to health issues, transportation barriers, and/or work schedules.

I will be an accessible and responsive board member to ensure families have a voice in our district, and I aim to increase trust in our district leadership through transparency about district actions or lack thereof. Additionally, I would like to cultivate a closer relationship between the district and special education parents and families to increase our district’s ability to lead the way in academic excellence for all our students, regardless of learning needs.

Worried about parental rights? Rest assured that parent’s rights are enshrined in our CA Education Code - parents and guardians have a right to be informed about their student’s academics and are able to limit access to school library books for their students as needed/wanted.
